As a director I love working with a crew to capture truth. I love creating comedy, genre, and action, as long as there's heart, truth, and some social commentary at its core.

As a storyteller I draw from my experiences whenever possible. You want to discuss addiction and recovery? Being raised in an immigrant household? Losing both your parents to cancer by the age of 30? Married life? Divorced life? Remarried life? Channeling grief into mixed martial arts? Complex interplay of male friendship in your 40s? I got you.

My inspirations might start with Paul Verhoeven and Shane Black but they definitely have a strong mix of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and a dash of Taika Waititi for spice. I love to soften the beach with comedy to ultimately leave audiences with a sense of my POV without smashing them over the head with it.
